How it works
Up in five minutes. Rings for a year.
01
Stick it up
Create a doorbell, download the print-ready sign, and put it wherever people need to reach you.
02
They scan and ring
Visitors point their phone’s camera at the sign and tap Ring. No app, no account, no number to dial.
03
Your phone rings
Instantly, in the Stickerbell app or your browser. Tap to answer, and chat until you’re at the door.
The audible bell
Your phone becomes the doorbell.
With the Stickerbell app, a ring doesn’t arrive as one more message. Your phone plays a doorbell chime the moment someone presses Ring, and one tap puts you on the line with them.
- A real doorbell sound. Not a polite ping you’ll find later. It sounds like someone’s at the door, because they are.
- A sound for every door. Give each doorbell its own chime, and you’ll know which door it is before you look.
- Right on the lock screen. See which doorbell rang and tap to answer.
- Accept and chat in the app. Reply in your own words or with one-tap answers.
- Every phone in the house. Sign in on as many phones as you like. They all ring, and whoever answers first takes it.
Free with every doorbell. No app? Notifications in your browser work too.
What you get
Everything a doorbell does, minus the doorbell.
Rings in an instant
The moment someone presses Ring, your phone sounds a doorbell chime in the Stickerbell app, or pops a notification in your browser.
Talk back
Reply to the visitor from your phone, or tap a quick answer like “Coming!” or “Please leave it at the door”.
No ding-dong-ditching
Turn on the location check and only someone standing near your sign can ring it. Pranks from across town don’t get through.
Your sign, your look
Name it, add a message for visitors, and pick the colour of the page they see when they scan.
Test before you pay
Preview the visitor’s page and send yourself test rings for free. Pay only when you switch a doorbell on.
As many as you need
Front gate, back door, the office, the dock. Each doorbell has its own sign, settings and history.
Who it’s for
Anywhere someone needs to reach you.
If there’s a spot where people stand around wondering how to get your attention, it needs a sign.
Gates and deliveries
Couriers ring the gate instead of guessing at the house.
Vacation rentals
Guests reach you at the door without your personal number.
Offices without a front desk
Visitors announce themselves; you answer from wherever you’re working.
Loading docks
Drivers check in at the dock door, not by wandering the building.
Construction sites
Deliveries find the site manager, wherever they are on site.
Farms and long driveways
A bell at the road for a house you can’t hear from there.
Booths and pop-ups
A help bell for the stall you stepped away from.
“You’re blocking my car”
A card on the dashboard neighbours can ring instead of honking.
Compared with a video doorbell
For the doors a camera doorbell can’t reach.
A video doorbell is great at your front door. Everywhere else, it needs power, Wi-Fi and a drill.
| Typical video doorbell | Stickerbell | |
|---|---|---|
| What you buy | A device, usually $100 or more | A sign you print |
| Ongoing cost | Often a monthly plan | $5 a year |
| Installing it | Wiring or batteries, plus Wi-Fi at the door | Stick it up |
| Where it works | Your front door | Gates, docks, desks, fences, dashboards |
| What visitors need | To be at the camera | A phone with a camera |

Questions
Good questions.
Do my visitors need an app?
No. They point their phone’s camera at the sign and a page opens in their browser. One tap rings you.
Do I need the app?
It’s what turns your phone into the doorbell: a real chime the instant someone rings, and one tap to answer. It’s free for iPhone and Android. Rather not install anything? Turn on notifications in your browser and rings pop up there instead.
What if I don’t answer?
The visitor sees a countdown you choose, from 2 to 15 minutes. After a minute they can leave you a message instead, and if the time runs out they’re asked to. The message reaches you like a ring does, and every ring is saved in your history so you can see who came by.
Can someone ring it from far away?
Not if you turn on the location check: then only someone near the sign can ring. Rings are also rate-limited, so nobody can flood your phone.
Does it work outside the US?
Yes, everywhere. Signs, visitors and phone notifications work in every country.
How do I put the sign up?
Download the print-ready sign, then print it on sticker paper, laminate it, or slip it into a sleeve. Weatherproof stickers are coming.
